FINANCIAL RESOURCES/TAX CREDITS
Façade Improvement Grant (“FIG”) Program –
Administered by the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC), businesses are eligible to receive up to $3,000 per façade as part of a 50/50 matching grant.  Applications must be approved prior to work.  For a copy of the application click here.  For more details about the program, visit the BDC website.

BaltimoreMICRO - Micro-Loan for businesses with annual revenues less than $1,000,000.  Loans range from $5,000-30,000.  For information click here.

Enterprise Zone Tax Credits – The Enterprise Zone and Focus Area tax credits can help businesses reduce their Real Property Tax Bill, Personal Property Tax Bill and Income Tax Bill.  Click here for the Information Sheet and Application

The Neighborhood BusinessWorks Loan Program – The Neighborhood BusinessWorks Loan Program provides gap financing, i.e. subordinate financing, to new or expanding small businesses and nonprofit organizations in sustainable communities throughout the State.

Maryland Microenterprise Loan Program (MLP) - The Maryland Microenterprise Loan Program (MLP) expands opportunities for microenterprise development, creates new opportunities for small business development and sustains local economies in Maryland communities.

Brownfields – BDC may provide assistance with environmental site assessments, and there is potential for tax credits associated with the redevelopment of environmentally contaminated sites or sites that are perceived to be contaminated.
